Elementium was a rare metal existing during the New Age. One of the most valuable metals in the world, even more precious than gold, elementium was highly coveted by the people of Novapangaea, particularly humans.
Elementium was the world's densest metal. Incredibly strong, it was malleable only when it was heated to within a few degrees of its melting point.
The mining town of Porticus Umbra was erected in order to mine elementium, but they refused to share or trade it with outsiders. Instead, they made furniture and other artifacts out of the metal. Their most significant use of it was to erect a large warrior statue in the center of their town.

The fact that Porticus Umbra was erected upon Terra's Navel, a large meteorite crater, suggests the elementium may have come from outer space.
