Alia Dragonpaws was a Halfling during the New Age. Brian Devonhyre mentioned her in passing, as a member of the adventuring troupe with whom he had once traveled.
Alia had gained a reputation for using her tail as a weapon, giving everyone in the room whiplash as she whirled around to strike with it. Brian had harbored feelings for Alia during his younger days, but he never told her of them. It was a fact that he regretted, even many years down the road.
Alia enjoyed a well-known reputation to the people of the New Age as one of the greatest treasure hunters in history, worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Captain Peg-Face Cleaver.
Luanda Moon, the curator of the Museum for Strange and Unusual Things, said that the gemstone in their possession was so valuable that it was comparable to possessing the cowl of Alia Dragonpaws herself.
Behind the Scenes[]
Alia was an orphan raised by a dragon. When the mother dragon was slain, Alia suffered from a mental breakdown and wore the dragon's skin as her own, coming to believe she was a dragon herself.
Alia was originally a character created for a tabletop role-playing game. She originated from the campaign that spawned other characters introduced in the Butterfly Princess books like Brian Devonhyre and Tha'aron. It is not known whether the character will appear in future sequels.
