Foxbats were creatures living during the New Age. Scavengers by nature, they had taken a living to the ruined human settlement of Northton, particularly its local tavern, which (if you asked the foxbats) boasted a public restroom the size of the entire first floor.

Foxbats were named after the Russian fighter jet MiG-25, which in a roundabout sort of way also makes them a tribute to the Transformers character Blitzwing , who turns into such a vehicle.
